MotM is available for your speaking engagement
Founder and Lead Correspondent, Pamela Kerpius has visited classrooms and conference panels sharing the methodology, impact and insights developed from almost a decade of work reporting in the field of migration, from Lampedusa island in the Mediterranean to migrant housing camps on mainland Italy, Germany, Belgium, France and the Netherlands, and now at the US-Mexico border zone.
Lectures on the Humanitarian Storytelling work at MotM compliment curriculum investigating human rights, social impact, European history, international policy, cultural and diaspora studies, and more. And as we present from a humanitarian angle, our lectures often deliver inspiration to students, scholars and activists eager to apply their knowledge at a human level.
Lectures can be useful to modern language classes, especially Italian, German and French departments, using our translated Journey Story Archive available in Italian, German and French as further points of study.
In addition to the MotM founder, lectures and events have in the past featured guests from the MotM migrant community. Those participants provide first-hand testimony of their experiences and the impact the organization’s work has had on them. Community attendance can be arranged, upon request, and upon their interest and availability.
